Today I attempted to go to an exhibition. I say attempted as when I got to the gallery it was closing in 5 mins. I managed to view 2 pieces before I left which were so teasingly good, I think I would actually pay money to see it and be impressed. (It's free.) This situation of being so close to the real thing, but not quite, was similar to an experience I had with food the other day. My parents were coming round to view my new house and I decided to make some lunch for them and be all grown up. I ended up making cotage pie surprise aka Emma's pie aka council estate pie. Instead of mash potato on top I put cauliflower cheese on top. This you may think sounds interesting, which it most certainly was, but it lacked the comfort and perfectness of normal cottage pie. Needless to say it left me craving a bit of mash and today has left me craving a bit of Soph. I do love her so I will be returning and giving a full summary asap. Night. (The above pic is a re-enactment of what I saw today)

Ahh, time keeping is of the essence! I'm sure 'soph' is aware of such difficulties. Take a closer look at the pad. The opening times are stated... ;)
ReplyDeleteI did indeed go back and visit Sophie after researching opening times. It was brilliant. She was broken up with via a letter and the premise of the exhibition was she sent it to different people in different areas of expertise such as a children's book writer, detective, the mother of the ex etc and asked them to react to it based on their role. The outcomes were so thought provoking and absorbing I'd say its probably the longest I've been in a gallery before on one exhibition. Fab!
