Musings of a home owner... I wish

In the news recently it said that first time buyers need a £93,000 salary to be able to buy an average priced house, no comment. My boyfriend, despite this new evidence has reached the property ladder and today I have been helping him to house hunt. He wants good transport links, a garden, 2 beds, a lounge, a kitchen and to be fairly central while on a budget. This is not much to ask really, but unfortunately in London, it is. I recently went through this ordeal while trying to rent a place for dirt cheap. Fed up of my money going to waste and not being put into an investment, my housemates and I all attempted to find the perfect property for next to nothing. Needless to say we had to compromise but actually, after having spent 3 years with a main tube outside your door, which we all thought was a necessity, it has proven not to be. (Sound proof walls however, have proven to be...)
When you live in central London you tend to forget about the outside world. London accommodates for everything you could ever want and did you know that two thirds of the world is actually covered by the sea. This little fact entered my list of pub quiz things to know from Blue Planet which I have been watching today- bloody killer whales! Anyway, imagine what percentage London is on the grand scale of things. Tiny. What an accomplishment to have created such a diverse and interesting city. This has got me thinking that with a little effort, hard work and most importantly compromise, I can achieve my goals. So, I'm applying for jobs online today and I'm going to work on some photography ideas. Today has been a good day so far and 'i got a feelin tonight's going to be a good night, tonight's going to be a good night, tonight's going to be a good good night!' Lets live it up.
